Dear sirs!
We are pleased to inform you that according to Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the KUWAIT FUND FOR ARAB ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (KFAED), the KFAED is proposed to finance the project by way of present a promotional credit for an amount of US$ 20.55 million.
The Objective of the Project is to enhance the developmental efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan in maintaining appropriate health standards of the population through the provision of modern medical equipment to 171 Emergency Departments Medical in Uzbekistan to enable them to provide emergency and necessary medical assistance.
The Project Scope encompasses medical equipment, spare parts, training, consultancy services, project management unit (PMU), project start-up workshop and familiarization visit, project financial auditing.
The Ministry of Health intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services.
The Consultancy Services include preparation of the detailed Technical Specifications of equipment; Tender Documents, involvement in bidding process, preparation of draft contracts; project implementation supervision, including testing of equipment; preparation of monthly, quarterly progress reports and project completion report.
